Typhoon Mangkhut Will Impact Crops & Commodity Prices

Market Update:

Typhoon Mangkhut has hit the Philippines this week, meaning there will be an impact on the Philippines crops. The outcome of this will become clearer in the days to come.

Demand for desiccated coconut has picked up significantly both in UK and across Europe. This has arrested the sharp decline from before summer which, in any case, was a market correction. Prices today are at levels known before. Our DC is mostly from Indonesia. We work closely with a group of mills who are either GFSI accredited or have been audited.

Product Update:

Speciality Coconut Range – This is supplied entirely from Sri Lanka. We currently have stock in the UK of Coconut Chips, Coconut Smiles, Flavoured Coconut Chips and Sweet Twine.

Coconut Milk & Cream – We offer Indonesian Milk and Cream in aseptic bags. Our supplier is GFSI accredited.

Sesame Seeds – Indian prices have weakened slightly but Pakistan origin product is currently more competitive.
