Sesame seeds market is up since the last week, due to lower arrivals and better demand. Overall prices should remain range-bound and we do not expect any drop for the coming month or so.
Demand : Requirements for Post Ramadan Arrivals have started as well as China and Turkey seem actively buying from Africa and South America. Countries like USA and UK are completely opening soon and demand is increasing from these countries.
Supply : New Summer crop arrivals in Gujarat, Tanzania, Mozambique and Brazil should start around May-June. Crop sizes are expected to be higher than last year, but people have a close watch on the Weather conditions in the sowing regions. We should have more accurate news in a month’s team or so.
