In one of last weeks Blog posts we shared information about the use of coconut milk in dessert products. Another common use for coconut milk & cream is in savoury dishes such as Thai curries, rice dishes and soups – used to give the dish both flavour and texture.
Our pure additive free coconut milk contains 17% coconut and 83% water and our coconut cream contains 24% fat and the rest water. Both products are packed in 20Kg aseptic bags and currently available in stock.
Mandira’s Kitchen are a perfect example of another local Surrey company using such ingredients in their dishes. The dish featured in the photograph is called Kaju Dhania Murgh – which is a boneless chicken cooked in a delicate cashew & coriander sauce and contains coconut milk (we have it on good authority that the dish also includes very good quality cashew nuts too!). Mandira’s dishes contain no preservatives or unpronounceable bits and Kaju Dhania Murgh is both a dairy & gluten free dish.
